Event City Network to Offer WIRLBALL - LIGHTED CAPS and SOFTWARE

Event City Products and the Marketplace Channel, Event City Emporium, which is currently in Alpha Test at their COOL PRODUCTS Site will feature the Wirlball and the Electro Caps as new products being introduced in the USA. The company just launched a WIRLBALL MySpace Site, which will eventually have a great deal of information and plenty of pictures for you to view!

Here's a few pictures for you to see, including our next generation Wirlball with double ties (first image without the Coca Cola). The Wirlball is like the Zorb, except it now has many more rope ties than the Zorb had which makes it a much stronger ball than anything else out there.

You can now sign up for the Company's Beta Test at their main site - EVENT CITY.NET which will commence soon, or even contact them directly via their New WEB PHONE

"We hope to offer many different solutions for our Members, to help them learn more about technology, and to allow them to become more efficient and successful in their everyday business affairs", exclaims Nolan Apostle, Founder & CEO of the Event City Network.

The company will commence their Beta launch in the Summer of 2008 and besides launching their Website Portal for the Events & Creative Industries, they also expect to offer a strong Software product for businesses who are serious about Planning Parties, Events, Meetings, Conferences, even Special Functions to Major Shows.

The company's software will work partially as a back-end for the Event City Network, it will also be a powerful tool for planners who do everything from small events, meetings, or private parties all the way up the ladder to major Tradeshow Producers, Concert Promoters, Special Event Planners, even Festival Managers and Movie Industry Personnel. The initial software offer will most likely be a licensing deal which Event City Members can purchase with certain features and benefits depending on their objectives. Members will also receive a discount on purchase of the software product.

"We look forward to launching new products for our Members, it is exciting to be able to introduce them to new and unique merchandise they will use for their projects and to create a better overall ROI", says Jeff Patino, Product Manager of the Halloween and Special Effects division. The company will also announce very soon some Strategic Alliances, special deals and promotions that are in the works.

ETELOS, a new generation company have created Web 2.0 based software products that venture into many of our industries, including the Special Events, Meeting Planning, Hospitality, Travel and Entertainment industries. They are a major sponsor and exhibitor at the WEB 2.0 EXPO in San Francisco this week.

Web 2.0 Expo now in it's second year, is an incredible show of technology presented to you in a non-intimidating presentation. If you are in business, you need to attend Web 2.0 Expo.

At Event City we are excited to bring you the great details of this fantastic show. Unlike last year, when we just had begun our Email Industry Newsletter, this year we have both a Event City BlogaZine and our Event City Creative Magazine to share with you all of the these great new technologies and how they relate to the Events & Creative Industries.

Etelos will open its Web 2.0 Expo booth to representatives from 20 of the United Kingdom's hottest Internet startups as part of Web Mission 08.

The participating companies will demonstrate their products and technologies at the Etelos booth on the Expo floor starting at 10 am on Wednesday, April 23. Etelos is a Diamond Sponsor of the Web 2.0 Expo.

"Hosting these companies is our way of showcasing the power and capabilities of the Web as the platform for the future of innovation and business," said Shelley Symonds, Etelos Chief Marketing Officer. "Innovation is global and the business solutions created by each of these startups reach and benefit Web workers far beyond the UK and San Francisco."

The companies that are traveling represent only a small portion of the innovation from the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe. More than 100 companies applied to be part of this program and tour Silicon Valley. These 20 companies showcase the high-level of technology emerging beyond the Valley.

"The Web 2.0 Expo is a great platform for these companies to be able to showcase their innovative technologies," said Joe Black, BT's director of emerging business and technology. BT is a key sponsor of Web Mission 08 and a partner with Etelos for its communication enabled Web services. Black adds, "Etelos is showing its support of the future of Web application innovation by allowing Web Mission to join them at the show."

Etelos is also a technology sponsor for the Web Mission 08 and will be introducing the visiting companies to the Etelos MarketplaceTM. Etelos is changing the way Web-based applications are developed, distributed and consumed to empower organizations to use Web-based applications to achieve their goals. Etelos' technology for developing and deploying on-demand applications is transforming the world of software distribution. The Etelos Marketplace gives developers an easy place to license, distribute and support applications. The Etelos Marketplace also gives businesses a wide selection of fully customizable, on-demand business applications to license and deploy to the hosting environment of their choice.

"To have such a fast growing and innovative company as Etelos supporting Web Mission08 is a massive benefit for the 20 UK start-ups," said James Lawn, co-founder of Polecat Ltd and co-founder of Web Mission. "Etelos is an inspirational example of success for any Web startup - at the very least they are a role model, more often, they are also likely to have the technology and services required to help such startups achieve the success they are after."

Representatives from Etelos, as well as the visiting companies, will be on hand to answer questions during the Web 2.0 Expo as well. For a full list of the visiting companies, please visit www.webmission08.com.

KODAK'S Jeffrey Hayzlett Embraces Change & the Internet

Nolan Apostle - Talent, Producer and Contributing Editor
Event City Live, Event City TV & Event City Creative

More on Ad Tech and how companies like Kodak are changing their landscape to give their audiences a much more fulfilling experience.

This Is Not Your Father's Kodak! Hear Jeffrey Hayzlett, Kodak's Chief Business Development Officer, VP and Head of Marketing, tell the story of how Kodak embraced change and transformed itself from a 21st-century product into a 21st-century brand experience. This is just one of fifty illuminating sessions planned for ad:tech San Francisco. Check out the full schedule and the great range of exhibitors gathering at the Moscone Center in April!

WHY INTERNET ADVERTISING?

Nolan Apostle - Talent, Producer and Contributing Editor
Event City Live, Event City TV & Event City Creative

Why not? Sure that's the easy way out. Ask a question give a simple answer. For the last year or so since we have talked to many of our Alpha and Beta testers about being more successful on the Internet we have heard this question time and time again. Why Advertise on the Internet? Why spend any amount of time investing in the Internet besides a website? It's too confusing. It's too difficult. Hackers will just steal what we do anyway! How can we earn revenues when there are experts out there doing just that? We will attempt to answer for you all those questions and much more as we visit Ad Tech San Francisco at Moscone Center over the next few days. This is a fascinating subject and the technology behind it all is brilliant!

First things first though. If you are involved in any of the Event City's industries, the Events & Creative Industries you definitely should be attending Ad Tech. As we cover this three day show in San Francisco, we already realize the magnitude of it's presence here in San Francisco alone. Social Networking a huge buzz word in general and at the show is seems to be a perfect fit for the Social Butterflies of the City By the Bay. Well as we come to realize there is so much more to "Social Networking" than one might perceive.

Ad dollars are just a part of what Ad Tech is all about. Sure the Goods are where the Gold is, or Cash is King (or is that Cache is King) but is that always true, especially in this day and age? I'm not too certain anymore. Tiny startups to major players like Google, Yahoo, Nestle and Kodak (Yep, even Nestle's Chocolates and Kodak Film company) are here, and you can bet they are not just Chocolates and no more film for the once gigantic firms. So what are two companies like these doing here? Incidentally both these companies fall into the realm of the Event City's "Events & Creative Industries"?

Come on down and find out. Or if you can't make it to Ad Tech San Francisco, please visit their website and learn about Ad Tech's world tour, probably coming to a city near you. So if you are one of those who think that the Advertising and Marketing world on the Internet is not very important, you better think again; and that's no threat, it's reality. Come to Ad Tech and learn, that's where I will be. Here are some highlights of this great show.

Attendees will converge on ad:tech San Francisco (http://www.ad-tech.com/sf/) April 15-17 at the Moscone Center to attend panel sessions, workshops and keynotes during three action-packed days of learning from today’s digital marketing industry game-changers. Attendees will take away the tools and techniques they need to compete in a changing marketing world, and gain first-hand insight into emerging opportunities with online video, social networks, mobile marketing, digital out-of-home advertising and more.

Hear from four of the hottest stars of online video, including Kevin Rose (pictured) of Diggnation, Ask a Ninja's Kent Nichols, Jeff Macpherson of Tiki Bar TV and Martin Sargent of Revision3. View the live taping and hear and explore how you can leverage programs like these to expand your own audience.

That's the key to what Ad Tech can offer. How you can learn to leverage programs like those above, and so much more to expand your own audience, no matter who that audience is. The Special Event, Meeting Planning, Hospitality, Travel, Art, Entertainment, Music, Motion Pictures, Food & Beverage are all industries that can leverage these programs and expand audiences and reap the benefits.

I look forward to attending this show and covering it for all of you, my friends, my associates, and everyone else on the playing field of the Events & Creative Industries- the EVENT CITY NETWORK!

NEW SF EVENTS VENUE OPENS & GOES GREEN

Nolan Apostle - Talent, Producer and Contributing Editor
Event City Live, Event City TV & Event City Creative

BENTLY RESERVE & CONFERENCE CENTER

Plans for a series of events are taking shape quite nicely at the new BENTLY RESERVE CONFERENCE & EVENTS CENTER in San Francisco. On April 9th and 10th, Christopher and Amber Marie Bently, owners of The Bently Reserve, are set to debut it’s new sustainable upgrades and the state-of-the-art Bently Conference Center with a series of events and festivities open to business associates, the media, event managers, meeting planners and the hospitality industry.

The crown jewel of the renovated building is the new Conference Center on the 2nd floor, boasting a variety of sustainable features and innovative technologies for meetings, parties, videoconferencing and corporate events. While it’s no mystery to San Franciscans who host lavish weddings and groundbreaking conferences there, The Bently Reserve is now more unique and appealing than ever thanks to an array of new eco-friendly features and innovative technologies.

Green, energy-efficient highlights include core upgrades like the new building control HVAC system, which was completely upgraded with a digital control, offering centralized on-site and remote temperature control, allowing off-site control for evening and weekend events.

The upgraded lighting controller – the Lutron Lighting EcoSystem™ – (which happens to be one of this writer's favorite) networks all lighting systems together and allows exact monitoring of kilowatts to accurately measure energy consumption. Advanced lighting sensors automatically detect outside light and adjust the interior lights to maximize energy savings. There are only three other commercial facilities on Earth with the same system installed on this scale.

In addition, the old CFC-based air conditioning chiller units were removed and replaced with a new, modern non-CFC based refrigerant system. This is a huge plus for event planners, especially when you get a crowed room of party-goers, all that body heat can really blast up the temperature in any room; this new air conditioning system will keep everyone nice and cool.

The latest digital technology was integrated into the new Conference Center, making it one of the most appealing destinations in San Francisco for conferences and business meetings. Teleconferencing equipment from Polycom offers high-definition quality and “Continuous Presence”, which allows conference attendees in multiple physical locations to see and hear each other in real-time digital squares on a monitor or screen. A highly-secure network using the latest Cisco Systems firewall and switch equipment creates peace of mind and a network that is secure enough to support government agencies. There is wireless internet available via completely segregated network access throughout the facility. With this system, individuals can connect to the network via their laptops throughout the Conference Center. In addition, there is also a business area with available computer rentals, fax machines, copiers, and scanners. Companies can also select from a variety of comprehensive audio/visual and telecommunications packages to suit their needs.

As you can see from the pictures, this is a beautiful venue, but its beauty is not truly appreciated until you had the opportunity to visit this incredible venue. If you are an Event or Meeting industry Professional, Corporate Planners, anyone involved in the Hospitality or Entertainment industries please send us an email and we will send you a complete detailed email of event schedules and the Venue's manager contact information.

We look forward to seeing you at the New Bently Reserve Sneak Peak Events on April 9th and 10th in San Francisco.

The production crew from Extreme Creatorz were doing their thing at the Haunt Show in Las Vegas. I was impressed with this particular character, "GRUDGE", mainly due to his size, movements, and range of motion. Nine separate motions and Mp3 audio capability - he's the BOMB!!

Halloween Costume & Party Show - Day One

By Nolan Apostle - Producer and Contributing Editor

Wow, Transworld sure knows how to put on a party, don't they? I'm not talking about the Costume Gala, but the Halloween Costume and Party Show itself; WHAT A PARTY! Seeing old friends, such as Leslie and Larry Meyberg, now with Rubie's Costumes, I haven't seen them in many years; many new friendly faces - Jordan Best of Clear Neon, what a Cool Product that is, Kevin Bartholomew with Windy City and Pier Luigi Pulella of Mask Venezia!  This Transworld logo below looks like one of Luigi's.  Then there's the old friends that I use to buy for in my previous life with That's Entertainment International - Henry Kwitel of Visual Effects Inc., and Alan and Stan Beckerman of Peter Alan Inc costumes, two of the friendliest and easiest companies to do business with in any industry. YOU GUYS ROCK!!

Wow. That's all I can say, is WOW! Those of you that know me know I do not "Wow" very easily, let alone, "WOW". This show kicks bloody ass (No pun intended in more ways than one) with everything from some incredible Animatronix, to a full body Corpse Costume. It's the year of Sexiest of Sexy costumes to a container full of farting (and yes it really does have the odor of the perfect passing gas participant). We saw an incredible device that puts Spiderman's webs to shame, an actual talking head, globs of new costumes and gore that goes where no zombie has gone before.

Whatever fits your fancy it is here at the Halloween Costume and Party Show, and insiders tell me the big costume craze this year will be FANTASY, such as this beautiful piece from Franco American Costumes LLC.

Stay tuned for more and here's an invite to view EVENT CITY TV, check out this nice Police Girl costume on the runway, introduction from our Man at the Show, Jeff Patino and a quick clip of the Webcaster Gun (Lookout Spiderman)!! Click here to go there now. See you on the show floor.
